1. Information We Collect

Cruise Ship Match collects only the quiz answers you voluntarily provide — including your group type, cruise line preference, budget, cruise experience, preferred vibe, destination preference, and trip length. We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any other personally identifiable information.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your quiz answers are used solely to generate a personalized Royal Caribbean cruise ship recommendation. Your answers are transmitted to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. We do not retain your answers after your recommendation is generated, and we do not use them for any purpose beyond producing your result.

3. Cookies

Cruise Ship Match itself does not set any first-party cookies. However, third-party services embedded in this site — including Google AdSense — may place cookies on your device to support advertising and analytics functionality. These cookies may be used to serve advertisements relevant to your interests based on your browsing activity across websites.

• Anthropic Claude API — Your anonymous quiz answers are sent to Anthropic's API to generate your ship recommendation. Anthropic may process this data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• Wikimedia Commons API — Ship photos are retrieved via the Wikimedia Commons API using only the ship name. No personal data is sent to Wikimedia during this process.
• Cruise Line Websites — The booking button links to the official website of whichever cruise line is recommended (e.g., Royal Caribbean, Carnival, Norwegian). Visiting those sites is subject to each cruise line's own privacy policy and terms of use.

6. Affiliate Links

This site contains affiliate links to Royal Caribbean's website. If you click a booking link and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are clearly labeled on the results page.

7. Data Retention

We do not store your quiz answers, recommendation results, or any session data on our servers. All processing is performed in real-time and no data is retained after your browser session ends.

8. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union, California, or another jurisdiction with data privacy regulations, you may have rights including access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data. Since we do not collect or store personal data, those rights are primarily exercised by managing your preferences directly with the third-party services described above.
